Abstract

|
Ultra-low-volume applications of premium-Sumithion at the dosage of 438 ml per hectareby vehicle mounted ground LECO ULV generator have carried out in Pusan to control Culex tritaeniorhynchus within 75 hectares of Sasang area in 1972~1973.
highly effective adult reduction was obtained, and lasted for five days after treatment. In addition the residual activity of insecticide larger droplets in ithe mosquito breeding places reduced the larval population in 1973.
The logistic advantageous of early morning treatment over evening treatment are discussed.
